IOP & Rustandy Center: Democracy in Action: Advancing Local Solutions Roundtable Want to shape solutions to Chicago’s biggest challenges? Join the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation and the Institute of Politics for a student roundtable focused on local issues and local solutions. This small-group conversation is designed for students who want to dig deeper into Chicago’s most pressing challenges, share ideas, and explore how to turn projects into social enterprises. At this interactive workshop, you will: · Meet and learn from local social entrepreneurs and like-minded students · Discuss real challenges facing Chicago communities, whether it be housing and education to public health and economic opportunity · Get feedback on your ideas and discover pathways to develop them into actionable projects or scale existing initiatives · Learn about resources and support available through the Rustandy Center to launch social ventures · Build connections with peers who share your commitment to civic engagement social entrepreneurship for local impact Spots are limited—priority will be given to highly engaged students with projects or ideas in mind responding.
