IOP Pritzker Fellow David Pressman on "The Transnational Reach of Authoritarianism" THIS SEMINAR IS OPEN TO CURRENT UCHICAGO STUDENTS ONLY Monday, October 27 3:30-4:45pm Authoritarians are increasingly reaching across international borders to attack dissidents or silence them. As a lawyer, I have led multiple litigations designed to challenge the transnational reach of authoritarians. We will unpack the tools available to citizens, litigants, and policymakers to counter the increasingly relevant phenomenon of authoritarians reaching across borders to target dissidents. Special guests for the seminar will include targets of authoritarian regimes reaching out across borders to target victims. Pritzker Fellows seminars are off the record and open to current UChicago students only. Seating in the IOP Living Room is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
